Lamball is the first Pal Pocketpair shows you, which means it is a marketing decision wearing wool. The Paldex says it tumbles down hills, gets dizzy, and becomes 'easy to capture or kill.' Heartbreaking introduction to a creature whose partner skill is 'transform into a piece of body armor.' Lamball is what happens when a designer asks 'what if a sheep, but also a shield, but also it does dishes,' and management says yes to all three.
Fluffy Shield
When activated, equips to the player and becomes a shield. Sometimes drops Wool when assigned to the ranch.
Fluffy Shield equips Lamball as actual armor. You point a sheep at a bullet. The bullet stops at the sheep. The sheep is fine, more or less. The Paldex omits how Lamball feels about this arrangement.
What it does at base.
Handiwork 1, Transporting 1, Farming 1. Slow it down at a Ranch and it occasionally drops Wool, which you'll need approximately forever for cloth gear. Lamball pulls its weight if your weight is mostly fabric.

How it fights.
Single melee attack, no ranged, soft. Lamball's combat plan is 'be 70 HP of regret in a baddie's face.' Workable in the first hour, eclipsed by literally any caught Pal afterwards.
Lamball Mutton is a tier 1 cooking ingredient. The Paldex was right about the 'delicious' thing, sorry Lamball.
