Palworld TCG Launch Buying Guide: What to Buy First

The Palworld TCG lands on July 30, 2026, and the launch lineup is refreshingly simple: two trial decks and one booster set. The hard part is not choice paralysis, it is knowing which combination fits how you actually want to play. Here is the honest breakdown.

The 20 dollar path: one trial deck

If you just want to learn the game, buy one trial deck and stop there. Each one is a complete package:

That is a legal, playable deck, the rules, the mat to learn zone layout, and a booster pack to scratch the gambling itch. Nothing else in the lineup teaches you the game this cheaply.

The 40 dollar path: both trial decks

This is the best value in the launch lineup, full stop. Two ready to play decks means you can teach a friend, partner, or unwilling family member on day one. And because Palworld TCG decks are always built from two of the four colors, owning TD01 and TD02 gives you a starter pool in all four colors for brewing your own decks later.

The collector's path: a BP01 booster box

Dawn of Palpagos is 100 base cards plus 50 parallel art variants, and if your goal is chasing those parallels or building a binder, sealed boosters are your route. A few honest notes before you commit:
